I had the discogram today.  It was very painful and I am very uncomfortable right now but I am sure it will get better. It does look like I will be doing fusion surgery soon. I will find out for sure on Tuesday.

I saw the nuerosurgeon yesterday. They are scheduling me for a discogram to determine which discs need to be removed. I am not looking forward to this test since I went through it in 1998 and know how painful it is.  I will be happy when I can continue on with our life and plans and get past all of this.

We still want to do IVF this year but I need to get my back better first.

You must get better first and if you have to wait just a little longer it would be better in the end. You can't be pregnant if your in pain and just imagine 8 month belly on your back like this. I hope the test goes well and they are able to get you som relief soon.

The past few months have been rough.  Nothing happening with us having a baby.  That is on hold.

I was a passenger in a car that was rear-ended in Septemeber.  I have been in physical therapy for back and neck injuries ever since. I wasn'tgetting better so they did an MRI in January.  This showed that I have two bulgings discs in my neck and two herniated discs in my lower back.  The PT changed my therapy to be better for the disc inuries (they were treating me for whiplash and other muscular tissue injuries not disc injuries). My neck and upper back are doing better but my lower back has taken a turn for the worst.  I have to go consult with a neurosurgeon Tuesday to find out my options.

I have been through this before in 1998 when I had back surgery for degenerative disc disease.  I know kind of what to expect and it won't be fun.  I am looking at several months of stuff no matter what.

Right now I can barely sit or stand for any period of time.  It is hard to sleep because of the pain.  I only hope that Tuesday the DR. has good news that he can make me all better.

I am so happy for everyone who has achieved pregnancy and/or a baby.  I still keep everyone else in my prayers.

Oh my god that is awful. I just know somebody who had back surgery and she is doing much better so I hope in a few months we can say the same for you. Please take care of yourself, I know it is hard to be in so much pain.
