hello all! Sorry it has taken so long to get back with you all, It has been a nightmare here in Kansas this last week. And unfortunatly it did affect my loved ones very personally, It is a very sad time for us now. My sisters first husband, the father of my niece and nefew was the sheriffs officer that was killed in Macksville, KS. It has been a long week, We were in Wichita until Tuesday morning when they had to removed him from Life support,He was working for the Stafford Co. sheriffs department, He had been dispatched to check on an elderly couple who was right in the path of the mighty tornado. This is a man that had lots of years of training in spoting and reporting torandos, But this tornado was fast and the rain was so heavy he just didn't have enought time or visability to out run it, His police car was sucked up tossed around and thrown 75 yards from the highway, He was totally crushed , lots of injuries, They were able to stablize him long enough to get him to the hospital, where he was put on life support and never regained any consiousness, My Niece is the oldest child at 26 she has 3 children, My nefew is the second child at 25 with one child and then they have a little sister who is 19 and has a newborn of a couple of months and 3 step siblings a sister and 2 brothers,Tim had been married three times. It is a story I am sure I will be sharing for months with you all. I have so much to tell this has been a very tramatic time for this family, My Nieces husband was leaving for iraq on Tues,At the last possible moment and the help of our Government he will be able to come home and help his family through this, and if that isn't the worst of it my sister is just a couple of block from the river in Hutchinson and only a levy is stopping her whole town from being under flood waters. but there is good news today and the water seem to be slowing so hopefully the worst is over there, I have been down sick , this whole ordeal is draining and emotionally I have been all over the place, I am trying to get my niece hooked up with this site for support,I pray she joins us, the funeral will be on Saturday, in our hometown of Macksville, It is going to be quite the ordeal he had been On the Fire dept there the 25+ years and of course because he was killed in the line of duty with the Sheriffs dept it will be in full honors, I am so hoping to get this all caught up soon, I want to thank you all for all the messages and hugs. The concern and prayers are very touching and I do pray you all are ok and safe, I really have missed you all and have been yearning to get back on here so I could check on my dear friends, Please remember I do care for you all, I hope to be able keep everyone better in touch , Take care ,Love you all, Sharla
