Well, this is the first chance I've had all week to journal. I still haven't caught up on many of your journals either since I've been back. I'll do my best to check them all out soon.
We had a great time with my parents last week, and Kynzie was SO good. I was spoiled, though, with the extra help, and I've struggled through entertaining her on my own this week. Since we've been back, she's pretty much refused to nap. She often doesn't even fall completely asleep when I feed her (she's always been able to do that), and if I do finally get her to sleep, she wakes up as soon as I put her down, and cries when I try to put her back to sleep again. I feel like we're starting at square one with the nap issues again. On Tuesday, I probably spent 8 hours in the rocking chair. When DH got home, I was a wreck. So on Wednesday, ha came home early just to put her down for her late nap (what t guy!).
Kynzie turned 4 months on Sunday, and I can barely believe it. She had her appt with the NP yesterday. She weighs 16lbs 6 oz. She was in the 97th %tile for height and the 95th %tile for weight. The NP said she seemed extremely active and that she could tell we have our hands full. She thought we might want to start her on rice cereal, even though she usually doesn't recommend solids until 6 mo, because she's so big and active. She thought it might help with the naps, too. I was hoping not to do solids until 6 mo, but I guess I'll have to think about it.
I guess that's all for now. Gotta go... bath time!

Really consider the solids, Noah started sleeping SOOOO much better for me at night after we introduced solids. (I honestly at the time didn't think it would make that much of a difference but it really did!) I think because they are bigger they need more to keep them satisfied. Glad you had fun with your family!!

Good luck with the naps. Aubrey still gives us trouble but does better with food on her belly. she is now sleeping like 9 hrs at night and 4 to 5 during the day now that is on a good day. a bad day is about 3 hrs.

Sounds like Kynzie is doing great! Glad your little getaway went well. We just returned from visiting my parents, and Ben's routine is a wreck, too - not that it was ever that great to begin with! You can wait to start solids, but you could also just start them very slowly - Ben still doesn't eat all that many solids at 6 months old, and we introduced them around 4 months.
