for the last three days i've been at camp - no internet, no electricity, no tv, no nothing …

What a wild night. We went camping this weekend and got hit with a bad thunderstorm. I havn't seen rain like that in a long time. It was so hard that it started coming through the tent. We had to abandon ship for a while. I made sure to move everything to the center brfore bailing. There was at least an inch of water on the outside of the tent. I used a roll of paper towels to soak up the water inside. It was pretty dry so went slept in there instead of the car.

Hi, Yah that was some thunderstorm we had last night. I dont believe I have seen so much rain come all at once like that. My Dad said he heard we got over 3 inches of rain. Unbelievable!! I have never went camping before but we have friends that love it. Have a great week!!!

My husband and I had a similiar experience with our kids years ago. Fortunately for us, my father lived nearby the place we were camping. We packed up and stayed at his house. The funny part was my step daughter noticed the water in the tent first. My husband thought she wet herself and scolded her. After a few minutes we were all feeling a bit wet. That was on a Memorial Day Weekend. It seemed that we had rain on more than one Memorial Day camping trip, so we chose a different 3-day weekend to go away.
