So I had my first u/s today. I wish I did not go. I knew it was early and that I would be discouraged and depressed. Well, I am measuring at 5 weeks 6 days, which is right on track. They saw a fetal pole and yok sak, which measure right. My doctor said I am right on track, however, they have not detected a heartbeat yet. My doctor said it is too early and to come back on 9/15/08. I have to say, I am not feeling optimistic about this. I have a bad feeling, I think a heartbeat should of been seen. Now I have to wait for 10 days (pure hell) before they will look again.

Finally, my second beta just came in at 714. My RE was very pleased since he wanted to see it at least 566. I am a little relieved, I have to say. I have had anxiety all day just waiting for the phone call. Now I have my first u/s on 9/4/08, which will be exactly 6 weeks. Thank you ladies for all of your prayers.

My first beta results are in. 12dpt they are 283. The nurse said that was a really good number. I have a second one on Thursday. Now we go back to waiting. I am praying they double. They need to be 566 or better. Thanks for all your support ladies. I am wishing you all the best of luck in your journeys.

CONGRATS!!!! I think it is over for me I tested this morning with a 5 day early test and it was completely negative. I am also 12do IUI so it should read something.

Well I just did some research on the American Pregnancy Association website that makes me feel better. They state that no cardiac activity can be detected until the fetal pole is 5mm or higher. My fetal pole measured at 3mm, so I am feeling a litte bit more optimistic. I guess I will just have to wait and see.
