    I just lost my oldest son, Christopher on 11/2/07 after a head on collision with a dump truck on the 18 mile stretch(US1) while on his way to work in Key Largo, on 10/30/07. He is survived by his wife LaChell(25), sons; Angelo(9), Aaron (born 10/26/07), daughters; Alexis(5), Emily(2). His brother, Jeffrey. My Husband, Myself, my Father, and hubby's Mom. I have been married for 29 years and have a 23 yr. old son. Regarding the title of this box "about me". I am a Mess!!!

    Interests

    The picture is of my youngest son in the Florida Keys kissing a fish. I love the water. I love skiing, snorkeling/diving, swimming, boating, fishing. I love to read. I love music, mainly country, classic rock, the sounds of nature type cd's. I like to dance but the last time I did that is when I hurt my neck so age or rythym is gonna get ya...lol... .:):):)

      I was diagnosed with cervical spinal stenosis in Jan 2007. Had disectomy with fusion on c5-c6 on 12/12/07 after a year of trying different options. epidurals, nerve blocks, pain meds, therapy, etc... herniated discs in the lumbar section as well.

      Treatments

      Chiropractic Adjustment Somewhat Helpful
      Felt better for the day.
      Flexeril Working / Worked
      Heat Working / Worked
      Hydrocodone Working / Worked
      It helped me get some much needed sleep. Makes the pain bearable.
      Marijuana Working / Worked
      Helps allieviate the pain
      Music Working / Worked
      Takes my mind to another level, and I like forgetting for a while what is wrong with me...:):):)
      Nerve Blocks Working / Worked
      Horribly painful. Did these while I was awake.
      Oxycodone Working / Worked
      Helps but I don't want to rely on this kind of medication since I have an addictive personality as it is.

      Worked while I was attending. I had traction, and that wasn't as bad as I had thought.

      I just lost my 27 yr.old son, Christopher on 11/02/07, after injuries he sustained in an automobile accident(10/30/07)and I am trying to find help in in dealing with this. He has 4 children, 1 born 3 days before the accident.I have a 23 yr. old son who is devastated. I have been married for 28 yrs. and I don't know how to help my husband also. We were able to donate his organs. I lost my Mom in 12/02 and I miss her a lot.

      We donated all his organs and they were able to find recipients for all of them, and I am very happy about that.

      Have been on this medication for 8 yrs. I have weaned myself down from 4 pills a day to one .5 pill at night.

      Not sure what this does was told by the Dr. to start taking. I guess for my heart.
      Lamictal Working / Worked
      I believe this medicine has helped me with my mood swings.
      Seroquel Working / Worked
      Helps sleeping.
      Zoloft Working / Worked
      Seems to keep me in check.
    • Open Panic Attacks

      I began having panic attacks 6 months after losing my Mom in Dec 2002. I do not like the feelings of this disorder, and try very hard not to get panicky. Not easy.

      This medicine works to calm me down.5 mg.
      Seroquel Working / Worked
      I love this medicine. It helps me sleep and unwind at the end of the night.
      Xanax Working / Worked
      Works great when I need an extra boost or I have built up tolerance from the klonipin.
      Zoloft Working / Worked
      This medicine is doing it's job. No complaints
      Physical Exercise Working / Worked
      For some reason when the attacks start I walk. From the laundry room to the back bedroom and back again. Last time this happened I opened up the front door, and walked around the block. Very helpful.

      I lost my Mom to Alzheimer's in Dec.2002, after a year of suffering with Alzheimer's Disease. I would like to help others that may be looking for support or first hand information. I know when we were going through it I couldn't find enough information about the subject.

      Sleep? What is that? I never really sleep. I take ambien cr sometimes 2, I have taken lunesta 3mg and still up. My mind seems to race while I am trying to get to sleep. I can't stop my brain.

      Just got my first epidural shot in my neck 4/3/07, the first few worked, but I didn't like being awake and having a needle stuck in my back..ARGH!!

      Had a bad migraine back in December and this medicine was great

      I have also been taking this medication since 1/1/07. Not sure if it is working or not.

      Allowed me to get some sleep through the pain, and at times aid in pain relief

      Physical Therapy Working / Worked
      Physical Therapy was great. It was hard but well worth it. I had to do traction, but that was ok as well. I loved the massages.

      Ultram Working / Worked
      This medicine takes the edge off. It is non narcotic and it does help.

      I have been using Marijuana since I was 20 yrs. old(24 yrs. ago). I don't want to stop. I don't drink. This is the only thing I do to help with everything I am going through....Is it helping? I don't know....I have been told it is adding to my depression, but I don't know if that is true..Probably is, I just don't want to face it.
