Treatments
- Lexapro Working / Worked
- This has worked wonders for me. I now rally for the ethical treatment for the mentally ill.
- Psychotherapy Working / Worked
- I am a facilitator for support groups thru NAMI where we work one on one and group therapy.
- Seroquel Working / Worked
- The combination of Seroquel and Lexapro has turned my life around. I am now in control as apposed to my Bi-Polar controling me!
- Lithium Not Working
- I took this for years but still remained a rapid cycler. I got toxic many times. Finally went off it and sought different treatment.
Close Bereavement

But still I hold on to a past I can not change.**** There are many times this big old house gets lonely. *****I guess every point of refuge has it's price.

- Took for years but kept getting toxic.
Open Parkinson's Disease
I a a 58 yr old married woman. I have 3 grown children, my son Travis died January 11,2001. Life has been up and down ever since. My husband is a ship Captain who was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease a few months ago. Medicine is not working, been changed 3 times but still he shakes! I am worried!

I always seemed to pick the wrong person in my younger days. They cheated, they lied, they broke my heart! Today, I am married to my best friend. We have been friends for more than 30 years and I never really considered marring him until my last break up. He was always there for me and helped me dry my tears and help me back onto my feet. Finally, after all those years, I saw the light. Thank God for that!!! We have been legally married for 9 years now.

I am trying to stop smoking. Very hard to do!! Have smoked for over 40 years.

- The cravings are horrible. I have taken out all the cigarettes and ash trays. But still I want to smoke!
Open Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS)

- Acidophilus Somewhat Helpful
- I also have a lot of stomach problems. Can only eat a very small amout of food at a time. If I eat too much, it keeps coming up the pipe and acid problems.
- Avoid Certain Foods / Chemicals Working / Worked
- I try to avoid fried food. We moved to Louisiana a few years ago after we lost our home in Colorado. Living in Louisiana avoiding fried food is a challenge!
