It's getting closer and my anxiety is sailing! I almost broke down at work yesterday but I was able to talk with a close friend that's been through everything with me since I was a young child. She reminded me of the great times we had as kids with my dad. Those are the memories to keep close, not the ones that are tormenting me now. See, last Father's Day, the doctors told dad he didn't have long to live and they couldn't help him any longer. Last Father's Day, I convinced my dad to sign a DNR and we moved him into his room at Hospice! Last Father's Day really sucked BUT this one, I'm going to remember the good times with him. I may cry but they will also be tears of wonderful memories!!!!!!
