I've been aware for a while that I am at the stage in my spiritual developement where I need to reach out and do  acts of kindness for the less fortunate.  I'm thinking about volunteering at a homeless shelter or soup kitchen.  I don't know if I'm really ready for that, as it might be too chaotic and there might be smoke, but I am going to try to get started somewhere.  I decided I will go to the Native friendship Center tomoro to look into it.

Today I bought some colored poster paper and I'm making motivational cards to give away to friends and strangers.  They are going to say things like, "You make a difference."  or "Be the difference you want in the world."  ghandi.  Just little positive afirmations to make others feel good.  It's one small way to share my transformation and contribute to the global healing that is under way for everyone. And so much more fun than ptsd.  Yuck.

Interesting that you choose the adjective hard to describe something totally loving.

sun, I have been contemplating the quote "Put out in the world what you want to receive" I have always been a fan of the "Pay it forward concept" I like to try and do w/o expecting anything in return. It makes me feel so good. But I get that whatever kind of energy I put out there I will draw into my life. I think it can come in the form of constant daily actions. A few weeks back my daughter and I were waiting at a light to get off the highway. There was a very old grizzled man with a sign that said "Need food" My daughter, being who she is, was "Awwwww mom we have to do something" So I pulled out 5 dollars and gave it to him. We then pulled into a very packed parking lot and parked in the very first space right by the front door. We just looked at each other and started laughing! I like random acts of kindness, it is so much fun....
