I found the picture I wanted to post of Baby Girl.  Her actual name was Felony, but someone started calling her baby girl and it stuck.  While I was in the scrapbook I found some others that I thought might be nice to add here.  These are all from my past life.  The canaries are gone.  They were fun but a lot of work and I got so I just couldn't handle it.  Emmy got killed when I forgot to make sure his cage was closed when I had to go find Penny and Tenoa when they got of their pasture one day.  That was not a good day.  First I sprained my ankle while looking for them; then when I got to the house I was greeted by one of the dogs with a bird in her mouth.  The other bird a grey cockatiel was nowhere to be seen.  I was always so careful to be sure of the cages but that one time I didn't.  That's all it takes isn't it, just one time.  I've set a day I named disaster day each year to commerate all the bad things that happened in that time period.

Anyway Baby Girl loved to go with me and was very upset when left behind.  She didn't like to ride on the seat, just got up on my seat when we stopped and I got out.  She was good company and I sure missed her the few times I couldn't take her along.  She was just intimidating enough that no one messed with the truck when I wasn't there.  But she actually liked everyone.  Don't think I ever heard her growl at anyone.  She quickly learned to stay in the truck while I got loaded or unloaded.  She'd lay real quiet while the hi-low drivers did their thing then she'd move just a little and scare them silly.  Good times.

I had 2 little birds once, many years ago. They were a lot of work to keep clean. Once while I was cleaning their cage, one of them flew out and went right up into the ceiling fan. The fan threw that bird across the room, slamming him into the wall. I was so upset thinking he was dead. That little joker laid on the floor not moving for a few seconds, then stood up. I put him back in the cage and he lived maybe another 2 years, but never again did he fly out of his cage. I could leave the door open all I wanted to and he would just sit right there. I am so sorry about your loss of your little friend. Are the horses still around? My grandma has a friend who has a horse that is 35 years old. I did not realize they lived that long.
