We adopted our son when he was 2 1/2 years old. He is now 8 1/2 and doing really well. Prior to adopting we went through traumatic, unsuccessful IUI treatment. Last week my brother and sister-in-law had their first child - a beautiful baby boy. I am so pleased for them but have been taken by surprise in the way this has opened old wounds in me.
