    About Me

    I have been married for 15 years and have a 13 year old daughter and a 10 year old son. I am 38 years old. My husband is a teacher. I have a very supportive mother, father, sister and 4 year old neice. I love God. Without him I couldn't do anything. I've had Lyme disease for 15 years which causes me to be on total disability. I also have mono that won't go away. I am on bed rest now 18 hours a day. I also have Babesia, Bartonella, hypothyrodism, GERD, a hyatial hernia, gastritis, bile backup in stomach, 2 open stomach spinchters, severe chronic back and leg pain, headaches, low blood pressure, and the list can go on and on. As a mom it is hard to take care of two kids and a family with all of this. God is my rock. With prayer and people praying for me, he has enabled me to do this for over 15 years. I got sick on my honeymoon. Always look at life with your cup half full not half empty. If life hands you lemons, make lemonade. You can either be bitter, or better. IT'S ALL UP TO YOU, IT'S YOUR CHOICE!!!!!Love to all, Brenda

          I have had lyme disease for over 15 years. I am enduring a lot of complications from lyme and now on bedrest for a very severe case of mono that I have had since May, 2008.

        • Close Lyme Disease

          I have had Lyme disease for over 15 years. It is now Neurological and I am dealing with a host of complications from the Lyme. I am 38 years old with 2 children. I am hoping and praying that one day a cure will be found. My lyme went 7 years undiagnosed. It was diagnosed as Chronic Fatigue Syndrome in the beginning.

          Treatments

          Ceftriaxone Working / Worked
          I was on IV rocephin for 18 months. It temporarily worked. I still have lyme. I have a immune deficiency right now and mono that has put me on bed rest.
          Acai Working / Worked
          I am trying Monavie right now.Will let you know if it works.

        • Open Mononucleosis

          I have had mono now for over 4 months. My mono count is 2,500 and it should be under 160. I am on bed rest and have been for 5 weeks and the doctor just put me on another 6 weeks. This is very hard with 2 children and a house to run. I get so tired and irritable so fast when I try to go out and do things. This is my 4th bout with mono over the years.

          It is so hard to stay on bed rest especially with a family. Without my faith in God and a great husband this would be impossible.There is a product called Laurisine that is made from coconuts that is supposed to help.
