Open Family Issues
Grew up with alcoholic mom, with a shifting kaleidoscope of father figures. Father skipped the state to avoid paying child support on us.

- Music Working / Worked
- Loud enough, beautiful music can drown out a lot of old mental flashbacks
- Talking Working / Worked
- Thank God for friends who have the guts to admit they've been through it, too
- Writing Somewhat Helpful
- Helps to clarify my thoughts, but can also churn up some painful realizations and memories

Treatments
- Breathing Exercises Working / Worked
- Practicing deliberate hyperventilation and then clearing symptoms by holding breath for a bit, then slowly letting it out helped a lot.
- Breathwork Somewhat Helpful
- Xanax Working / Worked
- I never take a whole pill, if I take any at all.
- Zoloft Working / Worked
- More for depression, but it helps to eliminate that undercurrent of low level anxiety, too.
Open Financial Challenges
Although we're okay now, I raised 2 kids on next to nothing, so I am real adept at living cheaply.
