      • Close Fibromyalgia

        I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia in the mid 80,s, It has progressively gotten worse since and no matter what regime or therapy I follow it just gets worse. I recently started having anxiety attacks and became an emotional wreck, loss my job, and just don't know how I will cope a year from now. Sometimes I wonder if I really have Fibromyalgia and not something else the medical profession is missing.

        Treatments

        Cyclobenzaprine Working / Worked
        Takes the edge off at night but makes me tired the next day
        Cymbalta Not Working
        No change in pain, made me feel strange. Discontinued
        Heat Somewhat Helpful
        Some relief.
        Lyrica Not Working
        Did not work. I became suicidal, anxiety attacks, severe pressure headaches, heart palpations Discontinued after 6 months
        Ultram Somewhat Helpful
        Took Ultram for years then it stopped working. I have been off of it for about 8 months while I tried Lyrica. Stopping Lyrica and re-considering Ultram
        Vitamin B12 Working / Worked
        Did not notice anything different Discontinued
        Ambien Somewhat Helpful
        Still wake up exhausted. I have sleep apnea and I don't wake up during the night but I do not feel rested. Cannot go to sleep without some sort of sleep aid. I have tried several
