Close Bipolar Disorder
diagnosed about 5 years ago. still looking for the right med combination. some treatments have worked ok, other's have been horrible, others tolerable. still looking, but letting the pdoc drive the bus.
Treatments
- Celexa Not Working
- made me feel like i was going crazy... couldn't control my thoughts, agitated,
- Lamictal Somewhat Helpful
- didn't control depression enough... was on it for 3 years.
- Lithium Working / Worked
- controlled mania, but developed very severe tremors, even when levels were good
- Risperdal Not Working
- made me feel out of it and drunk.
- Symbyax Too Soon to Tell
- just started
- Wellbutrin Not Working
- slight improvement, but only a bit better than a placebo
- Prozac Working / Worked
- keeps me from severe depression but has to be offset with something to address the mania. switching to symbyax.
