    Hi im Julie. I am 17 years old and ive been a type 1 diabetic for almost 10 years. This up coming school year i will be a senior. I enjoy staying busy with my friends, 4-H, Drama Club, Life Teen, and my juvenile diabetes support group The CADETS.

      Well i was dxd with t1 on Oct 4, 1998. Its a day i will never forget. I was 7 years old about to turn 8 in a few weeks. Although the initial trasition from normal 7 year old to diabetic was difficult ive never really looked at my diabetes as a negative thing. Its been a challenge but my diabetes has given me so many wonderful opportunities that i would have never had without it.

      Insulin Pump Working / Worked
      I LOVE my pump! I did shots for 3 years and then switched to a pump when i was 10... i will NEVER go back!
