I am getting into this narcolepsy thing kind of slow. I think that I still have a lot of denial about it, but when I read things I can identify with it sort of breaks through to me. I am beginning to recognize some things as symptoms of N, such as the lethargy and stress related sleep attacks. I feel very lucky that I do not have all of the symptoms that some of the people on this list have and that I can work. It helps that I love my job, but it is still hard to stay awake when I have to sit still and listen to people. That is a real problem for a therapist. The medication helps some, but I think that I am going to have to go to the generic ritalin. I am going to talk to the doctor about that in a couple of weeks. I am already taking all of the provigil that my insurance will pay for. My short term goal is to get the medication lined out. My long term goal is to try to get to some form of exercise that I can stick with.

I wish you the very best. I take the Provigil as well for the M.S. fatigue that I deal with. It's great that you are still able to work. God bless you!
