 Hi I 've been smoking since I was 16 yrs. old. I was having my first baby and I asked my mom for a smoke and she gave them to me. I guess she figured she's already having a baby so I could let her smoke. So I smoked not that heavy. But as I got older I smoked more. Then I met my second love drugs. I was 17 yrs. old. I had my daughter and I started going out. There were some girls where I lived that smoked weed, so I started. Then I started doing pills. Uppers,downers, anything that got me high. Then I met liquer. I was not much of a drinker. The more I went out the more different drugs I did. I started herion & coke. I went from my nose to skin to vein. I did drugs for over 18 yrs. I did drugs so bad that I ended up in a wheelchair for 7 1/2 yrs. In the hospital I got clean. When I left the hospital after almost a year later,I stood clean like two months & there was also someone in my life that just to keep me messed up would offer me drugs knowing I just got clean.You can't offer a drug addict drugs, it's like offering food to a food addict. So I started using while in the wheelchair again.I used for a few or more yrs.One day I realized I was sick and tired of being sick and tired. So I decided to stop and get clean. I lived in New York and I moved to Michigan. And I have been clean since I moved here. it has been 9 yrs.By the grace of God. God has help and pulled me through this. But today I am walking,that is a gift from God. The doctors said I would never walk. But there is nothing my God can't do so today I am walking no matter what the doctors said. So now I want to quit smoking. I have been blessed with a grand daughter. And I want to be around a little longer to watch her grow up. I also have two children that after all they went through with me on drugs and now have me clean. I would also like for them to know that I quit smoking after 27 yrs. My kids are 27 yrs. and 21 yrs. old. I've been given another chance so I want to do it right.
