My dad was a pretty healthy man. He was 53 at the time he first got sick. My family and I moved to Ohio to live with him. At the time it seemed like …
I came to this group for the same reason you did-my mom in my case. I am sorry that you lost your dad. Reading your entries helps me prepare for what I fear is coming soon-my mother's decision to stop dialysis. It just helps to see someone else who has gone through it. It must be pretty hard for you and your family right now-your loss was recent-and I pray that the closeness of your father's spirit will give you peace.
I am so sorry for the loss of your dad. Prayer will hold you up. It is okay to feel so many feelings, but do try to go on facts. You have lots of memories of your dad. In time, start journaling some of the special times you had with him. Do remember that through it all - God is good ALL THE TIME. i am finding out info for my dad. he is 54 and had some kidney problems due to highblood pressure and diabetes but nothing was diagnosed until he had a surgery last fall and his kidneys just stopped working.
My dad is 53 and he contracted MRSA while he was in the hospital after a surgery. He got it in his lungs and also he has it in a bed sore. The doctors said that his strand was very rare and they had to report him to some group of people. But his MRSA seems to respond well to the older antibiotics.
i have been with my husband for 4 years and we have been married for 2 1/2. we have basically lived with either his parents or mine with a couple of exceptions that never worked out. he just found a job which helps but he goes so long without work. he takes great care of me and my son but it seems like our relationship is just about running a house. never us. and since he has started his job he comes home and hangs out with friends. i guess i dont deserve time for myself.
my dad found out that he had hep b and c while he was in the hospital last fall. docs say it is dormant and not hurting his body right now. he is still in the hospital for other problems. i just want to know as much as i can to be the best supporter i can be for him.
