I'm 48 years old, divorced, with a 28 year old daughter and a 26 year old son. I have one beautiful grandson, who is almost 2. I was diagnosed with degenarative disc disease in 2007. I am in constant pain in my lower back, both legs, ankles and feet. I am now walking with a cane. This disease has totally changed my life.
I love to read, watch movies, play games and chat online. I love spending time with my grandson, who always brightens up my day. I have a 2 year old dachshund Buddy who is my "secret" best friend.

I believe you need a hug. Yes, I have felt that way too until I about left the earth in February with ards and pneumonia staph eating pneumonia. I was started on celexa for depression and it was the best thing ever. Saying "hang in there" probably is the last thing you want to hear but, I truely mean it. If you feel depressed let someone know. I will keep you in my prayers les
Thanks for the huggie support. I am feeling pretty well as far as my teeth and TN are concerned today - maybe I'll have some pain-free time to decide what to do. I am trying colloidal silver before anything else. Blessings to you today! Pat
I enjoyed reading your profile - I have DDD too. Love your doxie. Check out the photos of my pup on my profile. Blessings to you.
Welcome to DS fellow DDD person and Daschund lover. Yours looks like my old one, new one is long hair. I don't recommed those injections as they mask the injury giving one false abilities for short time then you have to keep getting..Roger Clemens lifestyle...do you like any 15 year old country singers..lol....I turn shots down. But DS is one vital tool as you will get depressed and I am getting ahold of finally...without pills...opiods are natural so i don't feel they will hurt..only help...Dr's love to give pills...newer meds have many more side effects. Research and effectiveness of treatments are my bible, you don't have fibro? as if you do I've been doing little study...can tell u later.hope u find what u seek here take care, Cam
Hi michele, I just wanted to reach out to you as a newcomer and say I am glad you are here. If you need anything dont hesitate to ask. I was diagnosed with lumbar ddd, lumbar radicular pain and bilateral lower extremity pain and numbness in 2007. I can barely walk and now must use a cane. I have constant pain ranging from mild to severe in my lower back, both legs, ankles and feet. Due to the disease, I am no longer able to work, I've lost my home and now live with relatives for not only financial reasons but because I have a history of falls. I am looking to talk to others who suffer from this debilating disease.
I was diagnosed with lumbar degenerative disc disease last year. It affects not only my lower back, but both legs, ankles and feet. I can barely walk and when I do, walk with a cane. This disease has changed my life completely.
