Day 66 Mood
Monday, September 1, 2008 | A General Update story

What a day. Glued to the TV to watch the hurricane hit the city. So strange to watch your home froma distance. So far, it's a pretty good result. Still a ton of damage but if we can get through tomorrow and the levees hold, we will be ok.

It was gorgeous weather up here and I felt a bit guilty going out for a bike ride when I knew my friends and family were in shelters and displaced homes etc.

But everyone is safe. That is what matters.

I have to be grateful for that, and I wish them well as they head back to their homes in the coming days.

Off to bed after an almost all nighter last night. We will be putting together the relief teams for areas that were hit hard. One of my best friends lives in Lafayette and the roof went. So we will head down and see what we can do. Something very turn of the century, like a roof raising when people built their own homes.

Night night, and peace and health to all.
