Close Sjogren's Syndrome
I was diagnosed with Sjogren's in May 2008, after suffering for almost a year from debilitating joint pain. Right now, I'm trying to adjust to the reality of living with this syndrome.
Treatments
- Celebrex Somewhat Helpful
- Was taking 200mg. Definetly helped if taken twice a day. I got very frustrated with the insurance company because they limited the amount they would pay for so finally I got switched to Mobic instead.
- Cymbalta Working / Worked
- Wow what a difference with the pain control! Reduced my use of Darvocet by 50. Too soon to tell the effect on depression though.
- Mobic Working / Worked
- Working well so far. Definely a low cost alternative to Celebrex but it causes me some stomach upset. Antacids and peppermint capsules help that though.
- Darvon Working / Worked
- Works great although I had to first make my peace with taking RX painkillers routinely.
Close Child Support & Custody
We are the poster bunch for the term "blended" family. We have 4 kids under 10 with three different "other parental units". We pay (2) and receive (1) CS and have funky custody agreements ranging from long-distance visits to 50/50 to standard CP with the other parent local.
Open Financial Challenges
Let's see... Too many divorces from greedy exhusbands? Yeah, that could be ther reason for my current shape... My family really doesn't live beyond our means, but most months we cut it pretty close on the bills. I am sick and tired of having to think twice before buying something that is not on the "need" list! I guess I started following the posts in this group to remind myself that I am not alone, teetering on the edge of financial trouble.
