Close Fibromyalgia

I was diagnosed with fibro. in 1991. I think I had it for 2 yrs. prior to that. Am now on disability. Can still do most of the things I used to do but am extremely limited on how long or frequently I can do them. I was also diagnosed with Acute Myelogenous Leukemia in 2007. Thank God I continue to remain in remission. I suffer with headaches/migraines. Didn't used to think this was part of the fibro. Am now discovering it is. I'm looking forward to encouraging words from friends at DS.

Treatments

Acupuncture Somewhat Helpful

The effects weren't very long lasting.

Cyclobenzaprine Working / Worked

I used this a long time ago. It helped with the pain. I just couldn't function while taking.

Elavil Working / Worked

gee...been on this since the beginning. Just recently went to 100mg. Keep GAINING WEIGHT daily, I think.

Guaifenesin Not Working

Used to take this regularly for sinus issues. was never told it might help fibro. don't think it really did.

Heat Somewhat Helpful

Probably should do this more than I do. ??

Neurontin Too Soon to Tell

It helps me sleep better along with Elavil but not sure it's helping with the pain.

Ultram Not Working

took this a long time ago. Did not help me at all.

Physical Therapy Somewhat Helpful

Still try to use some of the technics I learned.

Lexapro Working / Worked

I suppose this is working. I feel better emotionally most days. Getting ready to switch to Celexa because of cost.

Maxalt Working / Worked

Use this for migraine type pain. It does work.

Topamax Working / Worked

50mg. at night. Does help to prevent headaches from being so severe.
