About Me

Hi! I am a 55 (soon to be 56) year old woman (divorced). I love all animals and have rescued many dogs, cats, rabbits, squirrels and any other wayward soul that finds its' way to my door. My ex-husband left me 4 years ago for his college sweetie and I am doing just fine. I have had some health issues but the good LORD up above isn't ready for me yet. So in the mean time I plan to keep kicking! I have two children. My daughter is 34 and my son is 28. They are wonderful children except they sometimes forget that I am the mama and they are the children. My son is 6'7" so I think that makes him feel that he is in charge! Ha! I do have a sense of humor and love to clown around! I am 5'9" tall and not fat but not skinny! I guess I'm considered "fluffy"! Ha! Ha!

Interests

I am a "people" person and love to have family and friends to come to my home on the beautiful Edisto River for cook outs. I love to cook! Christmas is my favorite time of the year! I love to decorate my home and love to help friends decorate their homes! I love my children of course! We are very close. I have always tried to stay young for their sake! Outside doesn't count! That part gets old no matter what you do. I love GOD and my church. I am a CHRISTIAN and I thank my large family for being a great example. I used to own a cleaning service but retired about 10 years ago. Prior to doing that I had been a legal and/or medical secretary. I traded my high heels for a bucket, broom and mop! I enjoyed owning my own business but my back gave out and after 3 surgeries I threw in the towel. I still have employess to call me and check on me. I have supported many animal rescue places in my area and have rescued dogs, cats and and other animal that needed help for many years. I have even rescued a few humans in my day and hope that I have made a difference in human lives as well as animals!
