Seems to me, it doesn't matter what size needle, ya still feel it!! haha And I take your mother's word for the size of the needle too so I am valid when I whine just a little more than usual. hehe I'll take whatever I can get.=P

Are the needles for the lovenox that big compared to the insulin? Because if they are, definitely warrants me to more whining!! jk haha Yeah when I tried to give myself the shot this morning, I didn't go fast enough so the needle got stuck on the outside cuz it couldn't penetrate through...ouch! So I had to retry while also playing a mind game with myself!! haha Man you must have been in so much pain with all that stuff going on with the C-section, needles, and all! Definitely not a wimp in my book! Oh and I just remember how the nurse that taught me how to inject the lovenox gave me some practice needles to practice on unsuspecting fruit! Every time I think of that, I can imagine just creeping up behind a fruit on the counter with needle in hand. haha Hope you're having a fabulous day!! *high five*

Hi Kristy, I am looking forward to out whining you. PEs should stand for Paranoid Eejit - well that's me - what about Paranoid Elephant - that's me too - have you got any kinder ones - Paranoid Ecentric. Seriously every pain is a clot to me - I am now just telling all pains to F*** off, because I am sick of them. Just think of these shots as a bonus - who knows - everyone might eventyually be recommended to have them when preggers in the future, but I bet by that time it will come in pill form!!!!! Love Dawn x x

Thanks for the encouraging words on the lovenox post! Whenever I mention it to my friends or family they're response is either shock or they say that I get to feel how a diabetic lives. Somewhat discouraging to hear that when I have never gave myself a shot because it's not like I know what it is like and yet they react as if it's not a big deal. I guess they just don't understand it until they have to face it themselves. *sigh* But thank you for your kind words, you really help lift my spirits. How is your recovery is going? I hope it's going well!! I hope you are having a great day. =)

      • Close Pulmonary Embolism

Had a PE at 30 years old 24 hours after giving birth to my daughter by C-section.

        Treatments

        Lovenox Working / Worked
I HATED HATED HATED the injections! My husband had to learn to give them to me because they were so painful!
        Coumadin Working / Worked
I had to be in a fairly high dose to have effect.
      • Close Obesity

As a result of emotional stress, which triggered depression and compulsive overeating, I put on about 130 lbs over about 3 years. I'm now emotionally more stable and ready to SERIOUSLY work on my eating.

        Treatments

Avoid Certain Foods / Chemicals Somewhat Helpful
IF I could stay away from certain foods on a regular basis, I wouldn't be in this boat.
        Breast Feeding Working / Worked
OMG- If I could have done this forever, I would have! Pounds MELTED off. But alas, couldn't produce enough to breastfeed for long.
        Elliptical Trainer Somewhat Helpful
I mean...if I made it to the gym OFTEN enough to USE the thing, I'd be good...
        LA Weight Loss Not Working
Yeah...I cancelled that contract within the 72 hours allotted by my state to cancel a contract.....too expensive!
        Physical Exercise Somewhat Helpful
I think we can all agree that excercise works IF YOU DO IT!
        Swimming Working / Worked
Again, if you actually get up and go swimming, you could reap the rewards! It's teh getting up and doing it I have a problem with!
        Weight Watchers Working / Worked
This works. But I didn't stick to it.
        Psychotherapy Not Working
This did not help me one bit! And I was seen by a very wellknown Eating Disorder clinic where I live.
