      In 2003, I developed bilateral pulmonary emboli during a laparoscopic Nissen Fundoplication. I was hospitalized for 8 days and went through 6 months of coumadin treatment and lovenox injections. Coumadin treatment was stopped when I started vomitting blood. Now I am looking at another surgery and I am scared.
