My mum had her first sroke a week after turning 39. She was diagnosed a few years later with Cadasil. It turned out that also her 2 brothers had it, who have now sadly passed away. I help look after my mum and it has been hard esp when we nearly lost her 3 years ago. She is now 61yrs young, can hardly talk and can't walk far and is very stuborn when it comes to using the wheelchair, that's a fight! :) We get there and she still has a sense of humour, making her laugh helps to cope!
