I am very close to my brother who lives in another state about 2 hours from me.They have a 3 1/2 year old son who is autistic. It seems to all of us that they are not accepting it, and therefore are not helping their son in anyway. They yell at him when he does things wrong. That can't cope,and put their own needs before his. He is becoming aggressive,he does not eat good, he becomes out of control, he repeats things over and over.He runs to people, and doesn't let go of them, he goes to the door yelling help me. He is not potty trained, and they don't want too. My brother's wifes family is ashamed. There is so much to say that I don't even know where to begin. We have talked to them have given them material. Have suggested counseling, and forums. We believe from what I have read he could get better with some therapy.He is finally going to a preschool for special needs kids.I know it is a very hard thing to deal with. I am sad, and my family, and I don't know what to do. I thought maybe you could help me to help them .Thank You!
