A Quick Introduction Mood
Tuesday, July 15, 2008

My husband (40 yrs) is coming home today after almost 4 weeks in the hospital.  It began with his ICD firing 53 times in 4 hours.  This led to an unsuccessful ablation that resulted in an abdominal perforation, Heparin allergy, DVTs, and a massive Pulmonary Embolism.

(The ICD was implanted due to CHF and 7 years of Cardiomyopathy.)

I am exhausted, overwhelmed, and scared so I joined this so learn from others' experiences.

Forgive me if I am merely a lurker for awhile - I just need to get my bearings.
