51 year old mother of two (26 and 23 year olds) married 33 years to spouse who i started dating at 15 years. have worked as a legal assistant for 32 years. husband truck driver. never suspected spouse of cheating until found about affair with a married woman last july. of course he denied anything for the first two months. tried off and on to make our relationship work from august '07 until april '08..believe me this was off a week and on a week. she continued to call and keep me posted on their "relationship". she is also married but has had numerous relationship with men, i am talking hundreds, several of who have been married also, she is known in our community as a "slut and crack whore". she even informed me that my husband had a "secret" cell phone. about mid april we actually (or i thought) were really working at trying to make our marriage work. he was staying home (when not on the road) when he did leave he would always ask me to go with him. i truly felt he was sincere in making our marriage work, we were communicating more than we had in years, etc. anyway, last week i get a message from her on my phone saying "you stupid bi_ _ _, I've got your man now". I confronted him about it and he agreed to listen to the message she had left, as he would never in the past listen to her messages to me..i just said her harassing me has to stop, if that is what you are continuing to do go ahead..so on and so on..my son said mom, if he really isn't talking to her seems as if he should call her in front of you and confront her..i asked him to do this, he called her home number and her husband answered..he asked him "ask your wife why she is calling mine and leaving messages..here she will let you listen. i told her husband i was not going to tell him what the message said that this had gone on long enough. i am to the point after a year and a half that i don't know how to handle this much longer! I have been told by other women who's spouses have had affairs with her that even when the man tries to leave her she will cause you much grief for several months. because i work in the legal business i hate to charge her with harassment charges and bring this mess out in the court room of our fairly small town!
