Close Cervical Cancer
I had thyroid cancer when I was 37...thyroid removed. I was diagnosed with stage IIIB Cervical Cancer (Lymph node involvement) and underwent simultaneous chemotherapy and radiation. Then had a cesium implant followed by a radical hysterectomy. I work at a cancer center now and also as a MERMAID...YEP!
Treatments
- Chemotherapy Working / Worked
- I was very tired, scared and not given much hope to live.
- Cisplatin Working / Worked
- I did little research on my treatment as I was terrified.
- Hysterectomy Working / Worked
- This was such a painful surgery because I was burned from radiation and very depleated. I had complications afterwards and wound up in a wheelchair for a while.
- Radiotherapy Working / Worked
- This made me feel like my insides had been scraped and scratched. OUCH!
