is feeling OK
Feeling OK, had to reset my quit date
I am 42, married with 4 children and 1 granddaughter. Married for 18 years to a wonderful woman who keeps me in line and walks with me daily in Christ. My oldest son is a soldier with the 101st Airborne and is stationed in Afghanistan. Our oldest daughter is 20 and has an 18 month old daughter of her own.She lives away from home and we miss them both a lot. Our 2 boys are 15 and 12, and are a real hand full, but we love them very much. We are a homeschooling family who believe in fundamental Christian ideals and principles. My wife is also on here (diannebishop) and together we are here to help others as we feel led to. I have lived with various addictions for 30 years (alcohol, drug, sex, pornography) and now wish to help others who are struggling with them. If I can ever help, please do not hesitate calling on me.
Lit up this evening....I couldn't cope and gave in.
Well, tomorrow's another day, so I can start over.
You can do it! I know it's hard, but it does get easier each day. Days 1-4 were the hardest, and after that I was home free! Stay close to DS...we'll help you get there :)
Welcome Robert and congrats on kicking this quitting business off. You can do this and are going to feel so much better for it. Remember, NOPE = Not One Puff Ever. Take smoking out of the realm of possibility. You are not "giving up" anything, but rather "getting free/escaping" from a horrible, oftentimes slow death. You are so much more than your filthy smoking habit! ((GRIN))
You can do it ... Day 1 is not easy by any stretch ... but it is very rewarding. Keep your eye on the big prize of FREEDOM.
are you in the 8/8 group??
I am conviced that I am insane because I keep sneaky puffs. Who am I kidding? I long for drags all the time! Are you in on the 8/8 group? You HAVE to be doing better than me right now!!!!
My oldest son is with the 101st Airborne and is stationed in Afghanistan.
Been smoking for 23 years. Recently diagnosed with asthma. Time to give it up!
I am 42 and 344 lbs. I need to lose 120 lbs and have a food addiction. Looking for advice and support.
I have just been diagnosed with High Blood Pressure....176/94 I've been told to lose 30 lbs, avoid salt, and quit smoking.
