As if I haven't gone through enough, it just seems to be getting worse with every passing day.

Things here are as well as can be expected. Each day is a challenge to keep moving on, without letting the sadness take over. Jimmy would not have wanted me to be sad all the time. He used to get upset when I cried, so i am trying my best not to for him. He only wanted me to be happy. Take care and keep in touch.

How are you doing? Is everything OK? Hang in there, things will get better with time.

Thank you for your thoughts. It is amazing that you found me here, on this large site. I have found much support and love here during this long ordeal. I hope we can keep in touch and get to know one another through this. I think Jimmy would have liked that his family that is not in AZ with me, would like to get to know me. I loved him quite a bit and miss him every moment of every day. Good luck to you. Keep your head up and keep pushing forward. There is life after prison, you just have to want it enough for it to find you. Don't waste any more time on living the life you want. Jimmy lost that chance and would not want you to also. He was happy that he had finally realized what was important.

      Type: Loss of a Sibling

recently lost my brother, while i was in prison so i didnt get to say goodbye...also lost an uncle recently as well having a really hard time dealing with both of these deaths due to the fact that i have lost touch with alot of my family and it seems like the ones that i haven't lost touch with are all passing away

      Treatments

      Crying Somewhat Helpful
i cry when i look at his obit, when i hear a certain song that reminds me of him, sometimes over nothing....it seems to help me get out some of my frustration due to the fact that i wasn't able to say goodbye in person
      Music Somewhat Helpful
some songs make me think of him and laugh while others due the opposite, they make me cry
      Prayer Working / Worked
it keeps me grounded...knowing the God had a reason for taking him home
      Talking Working / Worked
it's kinda funny...talking to my 12 year old son has helped me the most..my son in named after my brother's favorite basketball player...he is the only one of my children that my brother ever met
    • Close Families of Prisoners

not only do i have relatives that are either in jail or have been there...but i have also been there myself, not just once but twice
