I SEE YOU ARE DOING GREAT IAM 11 DAYS OUT IAM ON PUREED FOOD..MY SURGEON GAVE ME A CARD TO SHOW THE RESTARANT SO THEY SELL ME THE CHILD MENU. I WOULD CALL THE MAIN 1 800 # AND TELL THEM BECAUSE THEY COMERCAL FOR WEIGHT LOSS. THAT WAS TACKY OF THEM THAT WOULD HAVE TICKED ME OFF..THEY COULD HAVE JUST BUT IT AS YOUR FRIENDS EXTRA MEAT AND JUST PUT IT ON PAPER.NOW DAY A $1.00 IS A $1.00..WELL GOD WORK EVERYTHING OUT..

Support Groups
Close Gastric Bypass Surgery
I've been waiting for 9 months. Initially I was scheduled for surgery August 12th. Praise God they called and moved the date up to July 22nd. Being a teacher, this will allow me to return to work as scheduled.
Close Back Pain
I broke my back in three places. severe damage to the nerve root at the level of the sciatic notch. spinal fusion done 9 years later, in 2005.
Treatments
- Carisoprodol Somewhat Helpful
- Chiropractic Adjustment Somewhat Helpful
- Cortisone (Injection) Not Working
- This sent the pain through the roof, and didn't help even a little.
- Epidural Injection Not Working
- Didn't help even a little.
- Fentanyl Working / Worked
- It took the edge off at the highest dose available, when combined with the highest level of percocet every four hours.
- Heat Somewhat Helpful
- It is helpful, especially since the fused the spine.
- Physical Therapy Working / Worked
- after the spinal fusion, I've found that traction during PT is quite helpful.
- Stretching Somewhat Helpful
- It is important, especially after the spinal fusion.
- TENS Not Working
- Spinal Fusion Working / Worked
- Following surgery to fuse the spine I have been 8085 better. YES! I still have days each month that Im in excruciating pain.
Open Brain Injury
I sustained a TBI in a motor vehicle accident in 1996. I have been diagnosed with executive dysfunction, reading comprehension issues, and adult ADD secondary to TBI. I am working on my master's degree in speech pathology.
