I'm a retired elementary teacher. We have five children and seven grandchildren. I would like information about ANY naturopathic therapies for Parkinson's.

    • Close Parkinson's Disease

I was diagnosed with Parkinson's four years ago and I also have CLL (chronic lymphocytic leukemia). I would like to find information on naturopatic treatment for the Parkinson's. I've taken neurontin, gabitril, requip, and now I'm taking stelevo. I also take thyroid medication and paxil and clonazepam. I work at staying positve and being as healthy as possible. I walk, do tai-chi, and try to eat right. I tend to want to eat junk when I'm stressed. I recently started weaning my meds. I'm starting a magnesium supplement (powder form) and a stress formula vitamin supplement.

      Treatments

      Psychotherapy Working / Worked
I have learned that I can and should be in control of my treatments. I also learned that no one is strong all the time.
      Positive Thinking Working / Worked
I believe life is what we believe it is. If we look for the bad we find it. If we look for the good we find it. I trust that God gives us the strength to deal if we are receptive.
Support from Friends & Family Working / Worked
My family and friends are very supportive. They always have been! My husband of 43 years is my rock. He is my best friend but he makes me be as independent as I can. He knows when to step in and when to make me make the extra effort.
