Today (WED) I met with the cardiologist. LOVE him...was very kind and curious and not at all dismissive. He seems like a guy who enjoys the challenge …
is feeling Good
glad to be having my heart monitored so we can figure this out!
I am 38 years old, diagnosed with multiple (three) bilateral clots on July 3, 2008. I'm married to a wonderful guy and am the proud mother of an amazing daughter. As for my work life, I actually have TWO jobs - one managing communications for the office of undergraduate admission at a local university; the other running the US World Cup organization for my chosen sport, Saddle Seat Equitation (a type of english style riding). I'm a former US equestrian team captain and two-time silver medalist in international competition.
Riding and showing American Saddlebred horses, photography, running (OK, jogging - I am slow!), writing and travel.

Was diagnosed on July 3rd with bilateral pulmonary emboli, both described as 'significant'. I'm 38 and still trying to adjust. Have spent a week in the hospital and am trying to get my strength back so I can start getting back to a somewhat normal life. I am not sure that is ever possible after something like this, but I was VERY lucky - there is a reason I'm still here!
