About Me
I am 44 years old, was diagnosed with MS in Feb. 2005. Divorced after 22 years of marriage and no kids, now single. I take avonex injections weekly for my MS. I struggle daily with not being able to go out and do things I want too, simply because I am so tired all the time and struggle with depression also. Would really like to find people to talk to who can relate to my situation.

Hi! Welcome to the MS group. We're a pretty good group here and we can whine or cry or whatever we need to do and no one will judge you for it. I'm 53 and from Missouri. I currently live in New Mexico, but we are moving to Wichita next Spring. I take daily injections of Copaxone, after trying & hating Betaseron for 6 months. Copaxone has like no side effects compared to the Beta. I have had clinical depression since I was 19. I was diagnosed 1 1/2 yrs ago at the ripe old age of 53, which is kinda unusual. MS makes the depression worse & when the depression is really bad, my MS gets worse. Now I know that depression is an actual by-product of MS. Geeze, can't win!! Anyway, write if you ever need to vent. Don't know what to tell you about the fatigue, 'cause that's a hard one. Take care. from jani M
