Monday, October 13, 2008 | A Positive story
After the hellish week I had at work this week, I desperately needed to escape. So I had my DH call his mom and kick her out of her lake house and we went down there. It's only about 2 hours away from our house, but it was the perfect place to sleep! So we left Friday night and I warned my DH if he stresses me out at all he couldn't come either. However, I am glad he came so he could drive, carry bags, cook, and clean up after me. All the stressful things I didn't want to do this weekend. We rented 5 movies before we left and arrived that evening and watched a movie. Then Saturday I slept in as late as I could stand to be in bed. Then my DH made me breakfast and we dresses and went shopping for candles and smell good stuff. Then we went to lunch at a restaurant I had been craving with down home cooking on a buffet. It was wonderful! Then we went back to the house and I took a nap. After my nap we watched 3 more movies including P.S. I Love You which sent me to bed crying while my DH laughed at me. Then on Sunday I slept in again. When I woke up my DH made me breakfast again and we watched another movie. I like to watch movies because I can zone out and not think about anything else. Then we got dressed and headed home, but not before stopping and eating some Chili's. I got home and took another nap and was ready for a new week. It was amazing and lazy and slow. I didn't have to think or get tired or be obligated to anyone for anything. I turned off my cell, while my DH left his on, just in case, and didn't think about pleasing anyone. Today, I was able to get some work done and be productive and my nausea was completely gone. It is amazing what rest and relaxation can do for you.
