I have had epilepsy for 47 years. My seizures had started out as petit mal seizures and got worst over the years. I am on carbatrol, and klonopin for seizures now and have the vns implant. I was on every seizure drug listed with the exception of three.

Depakote Somewhat Helpful

Can't remember why I switched. I think that one was hard on stomach, not sure.

Dilantin Working / Worked

helped stop seizures when I was on this with two others, but was a basket case. I was in a different world.

Felbatol Somewhat Helpful

heard bad things concerning that drug though.

Keppra Not Working

Made me suicidal

Klonopin Working / Worked

Am on now

Mysoline Working / Worked

Was on on high school along with tegretol and dilantin. Was a walking zombie, had double vision, teased by kids and today have ptsd from those years.

Phenobarbital Working / Worked

was on up until high school then was switched to tegretol, mysoline and dilantin. I still had seizures growing up, but didn't remember a lot of side-effects.

Tegretol Working / Worked

I'm on the generic form now. Have been for over 30 years.
