About Me
Am 56, just recently seperated. Married 33 years, two childrenn 20 and 23 both in college. Husband recently told me that after 2.5 years of trying and a year in depression counseling that he was moving on and moving to another city to be with the person he met through work. Since he (except for this) has always been a very good husband and person, and I came to realize after meeting with him and his counselor, I came to realize that nothing I did or could have done int he last 2.5 years would have changed his mind. We have gone through mediation and I see an attorney soon. Papers can't be filed before 10/1.
Interests
Reading, history, action movies, symphony concerts, tv shows like Boston Legal, Men in Trees, Deadliest catch, Science Channel, etc.

Close Breakups & Divorce
Married 33 years. Husband came from family that did not talk. He was unhappy didn't know how to express. became involved with someone he works with, tried counseling, he left 4 wks ago.
Treatments
- Family Therapy Not Working
- Terrible counselor.. tried counseling through another source that was better, but in end nothing would have changed his mind.
- Forgiveness Too Soon to Tell
- Have forgiven him for initial indiscretion and have accepted (mostly) the idea that nothing I did could change his mind.
- Love Too Soon to Tell
- Still love him, he loves me but not in love with me. 33 years is a long time to know someone and not love them as a friend if no t a lover. I am in contact with him daily and we have done this as amicably as possible
- Pets Too Soon to Tell
- I have a dog, not sure how much he will help.
- Psychotherapy Too Soon to Tell
- I just started although he's been in counseling for depression for more than a year.
- Support from Friends & Family Too Soon to Tell
- Have a small circle, will try to expand with suggestions from counselor - maybe can find local support group.
- Talking Somewhat Helpful
- Have done a lot of talking and although it helps me to vent, there's little he can do for me other than listen (short of coming home)
- Time Too Soon to Tell
- Just left 4 wks ago and we (as a family) just saw him on vacation.
