I went in for my u/s on Sunday, not sure what to expect. I thought I might have already ovulated the day before but was hoping I hadn't. I hadn't had much left or right sided pain at all so I was wondering if that was because nothing was going on in there. Well that was definitely not the case. The u/s tech said I had 6 mature follicles, but I'm thinking only 4 of them were big enough to release eggs. I had 14.5, 15, 18, 19, 22, and 27 mm follicles!! I got my hCG trigger and went home very happy. Yesterday we went in for our first IUI. DH had to go in before me to give his sperm sample. He walked up to the counter and when asked if they could help him,he responds with, "Yeah, I'm supposed to whack into a cup." I was slightly embarrassed. Well he got the job done and my appointment was about 1 1/2 hours later. I was really nervous for some reason. When I asked the nurse about DH's results, I just about fell off the table when she said his total sperm count was 208 million. Yeah, 208 million!!! His total motile sperm was 179 million but I ended up getting inseminated with 79 million of them. Although they had good motility, some of them were swimming the wrong way so those ones were removed, which is why the final motility count was lower than the original. I'm extremely happy with the final though; 79 perfect spermies! I'm not sure if this has anything to do with it,but if anyone wants to know what I make my DH take everyday, here it is: 2,500 mg Vit. C, 400 IU Vit. E, 1,800 mg L-Arginine, 1,000 mg Acetyl L-Carnitine, 1,000 mg Fish Oil, 25,000 IU Vit A (as beta carotene), 2,500 mcg B-12, B-100 Complex, 1,000 mg Saw Palmetto, 400 mg Magnesium Oxide, 23 mg Zinc and a couple other things I can't think of right now. I don't know if any of that helped any, but just in case... Anyway, back to my story. The pain started last night. We were going to BD last night just to put some extras up there but I was hurting too much. I wasn't too worried about getting extras anyway after hearing his sperm count! I woke up at 1 am and was in full blown pain. I was up until after 4 when I was finally able to fall asleep again. I know at this point, ovulation is complete and DH's sperm can find their mates! Looking forward to the end of the 2ww and praying that this is our month and we will get our BFP in about 2 weeks!

LOL!! Hilarious about DH and "whacking off in the cup"...my poor DH was more concerned about the "material" the RE's ofc had so he brought his own but left it in the car. So what seemed like only 5-10 mins after they called him back he pops up and says let's go and I thought that meant we needed to go to the car to the get mag but he said oh, no I'm done...they had good materials:) Everything sounds wonderful...from the follies to the spermies!! Awesome! You & DH level of committment is worthy of a fruitful outcome. I could not imagine getting my DH to take all of those vitamins. It's a beautiful thing that you two are doing. I pray that the seed is planted, and that Almighty God gives the increase. May you also enjoy this 2ww wait that's off to a tremendous start. Much love and baby dust!!!

Okay, the DH's comment is absolutely hilarious! That gave me the biggest laugh!!!! That is an amazing amount of little spermies to get up there and do their job. Sorry to hear about the pain you were in. I certainly hope you are feeling better now. I will be thinking about you during this 2ww and hoping/praying that this brings you your BFP!!!

I HOPE it's your month!! Thanks for the herbal tips... By the way, the 1st time I had my IUI, I was in excrutiating pain (not just from OV) but cramps. My RE said my DH's "stuff" may have a lot of prostoglandins and recommended a double wash. Every time since we have it double washed and I still have OV pain, but nothing as bad as the first... maybe that's it?!? BABY DUST!
