About Me
I'm 50 years old, married but no children. Diagnossed CADASIL positive two years ago and trying to live and come to terms with an unknown future....it's so hard. Happy to have eventually found a forum/chat area to share thoughts. I'd love to meet and chat with another sufferer nearby, drop me a line. Best wishes to you and your loved ones. Rich

Close CADASIL
I'm the eldest of 5 siblings, three of who are CADASIL positive (3 eldest), my youngest sister has beem tested negative and the next youngest has not taken the test I was diagnosed positive 2 years ago and since then have suffered from wild mood swings and increasing bouts of headaches of increasing intensity. I have a slight balance problem which my consultant thinks is the result of a mild stroke in my early/mid 40s. I lost my dad a while back who was diagnosed as suffering from Alzheimers but I thibk I know what it was now...he wasn't even 60 years old....so sadly missed. We lost mum a couple of years ago to cancer but we never told her of the conditions we have and how it linked to dad. I feel a bit guilty about that. I'm trying to live my life and put on a happy face. I feel that I don't want to impose myself or my condition on anyone.....but inside my head, WW3 is raging with so many mixed thoughts and unanswered questions.
