Dee, I hadn't read your journal until after I sent the hug, now I see that you already have a treatment plan in place so I'm sorry for writing about the other options. Here's hoping that the treatments go well and smoothly and that you feel better soon. Rose
Dee, have you checked into the gamma knife radiation for the tumor that is wrapped around the artery? I ask because I have (or had) an issue of tumor wrapped around the carotid artery and there was talk of only removing 98% of it during the transspenoidal resection and then going back in 3 months later to remove the other 2 per cent with the gamma knife. There is some talk of less residual damage to healthy tissue than with standard radiation and also the benefit of being able to work in dangerous places such as around carotid arteries....
