I am a college student with hopes of becoming a history teacher or working in a history museum. I have a mild case of Asperger's; while I don't daydream as much anymore, I still have trouble making and keeping friends and I can't seem to stop talking about my interests on a constant basis. I know that in order to achieve my hopes, I need to control these problems, so I have joined this group in hopes of getting some advice and realizing that I'm not alone in this matter at all.
Drawing, esp. Disney characters and historic figures. Anything French. Anything Disney. Art, esp. Baroque and Rococo. Writing, esp. fanfiction, poetry, and journals. Reading, esp. historical fiction, biographies, poetry, thrillers, mysteries, and Harry Potter. Poodles. Music, esp. classical, soundtracks, jazz, pretty much anything except rap or constant screaming.
Studied for at least an hour today. Also, I got my first hug! Thanks a lot!
I have a mild case of AS and I want to know how to stop talking about my obsessions and stay in conversations like a normal person.
