I find it almost amusing, that most non-epileptic people don't seem to understand the equation: no sleep=seizures.

I just moved in with a new roommate a month ago, and besides the fact that she can't seem to clean up after herself or not leave lights on when she's not home... She seems to not mind running the dish washer or washer/dyer at night while I'm trying to sleep. But at least I can talk to her, and we are friends.

The upstairs neighbors' interests include walking around in work boots at midnight, in what seems like a circle over my bed. I've talked to them, and told them about my needs for sleep. But that didn't help. So I went to the security guard/fix it man, and asked him to talk to them. And it has been fine since, except for tonight.

I know I sound angry and frustrated. And I guess... I am. This has been an issue for me for the past year or so. Living in different places and finding the noise/vibration levels too much to sleep by. At my last apartment, the downstairs neighbor liked to play his bass music that made my bed vibrate.

It was something I grew to be afraid of as a kid. Not getting enough sleep. My doctor and mom always making sure I had sleep. So its something I'm very conscious of.

I just wish people would understand that I don't ask them, for my own fun. But so that I won't have a grand mal at work tomorrow. Sounds simple enough, don't you think?
