About Me
I've been dealing with extreme fatique and pain since 1995. My diagnosis has recently been changed to Mitochondrial disease. I was a Spec. Ed. teacher for 28 years and had to retire early because I just could not do my job any longer. I've been married for 28 yrs., have 2 grown children and a sweet, loving dachshund that sits and sleeps by my side.
Interests
I used to have so many different interests but my disabilities prohibit me from doing so many things. I could use some suggestions for someone who has a short attention span, much difficulty walking, tremors in my hands, inability to drive due to a lack of concentration and confusion. I also fall asleep very easily when reading, working on the computer, etc.I am even having trouble paying my bills and balancing my check book when it used to come so easily and now I make numerous mistakes.

I hope you are doing OK!! I have just started taking CoQ10 really hoping it helps. Can't get it perscribed and it is very expensive but the no more smoking helps with that.

My medical problems started in 1995 with gyno.surgery. My body slowly fell apart and I was first diagnosed and treated for fibromyalgia.. I saw 3 different rheumo because I believed my problems were more severe. I was finally sent to a neurologist in 2003. It took 3 neuro. before I was finally diagnosed correctly.(I think). I'm seeing a Dr. at Columbia, Presbyterian in Aug. to finalize the diagnosis and establish a treatment.
