I work full-time as a graphic designer and will be finishing my Master's degree in Publications Design in December 2008.
I love art, music, friends, family, being outside, traveling, etc. Now I am interested in learning all I can about DVTs and PEs after a major health scare in May 2008.

Left leg DVT and bilateral PEs in late May 2008. Spent 5 days in the hospital, including 2 in the ICU. Had an IVC filter placed on second day in hospital. I was on a Heparin drip in the hospital and transistioned to Coumadin and Lovenox once I was discharged. Now I am only on Coumadin. I have my INR taken weekly and see a hematologist regularly. It was determined that I have the Lupus Anticoagulant and so I will be on Coumadin for the rest of my life.
