Asacol Somewhat Helpful

Sometimes it worked, sometimes it didn't. Sometimes, it made the symptoms worse, other months it didn't seem to do anything at all. Made my movements have a certain smell, texture, and color. Gave me cramping on the left side of my stomach across from my navel, and make me cramp behind my bladder. Took 2 pills, 3 times a day. I think they were 500mg.

Avoid Certain Foods / Chemicals Somewhat Helpful

Went almost all organic, at least all natural, everything cooked from scratch (I have a wonderful wife) for one year. Helped a little bit.

Colazal Not Working

Made me cramp behind my bladder during movements. Tried it 3 different times. Same effect.

Dietary Modification Not Working

Cut out milk. Didn't work. Cut out fiber. Didn't work. Put in lots of fiber, worked for 6 months, then stopped working. Never developed a pattern.

Entocort Working / Worked

Was freaking awesome in the beginning, but I started to need higher doses, and the insurance companies won't pay for it, so the doctors won't subscribe it. Almost no side effects compared to prednisone, and almost the same effect.

Flagyl Somewhat Helpful

Only had it for when I had puss (infection). Made me feel better, but was never on it more than a month.

Methotrexate Somewhat Helpful

Sucked. Better drink tons of water when you take the pills or get an injection, or you will have flu like symptoms. Barely helped, was only on it for 4 months or so. Did more for the arthritis than the colitis.

Prednisone Working / Worked

Worked great on the arthritis, worked for the longest time on the UC. After a few years, it stopped working. Normal side effects for this drug (hunger, anxiety, sleepless nights, weight gain, puffiness, acne).

Probiotics Not Working

Went over like a fart in church. Total bunk in my case. Perhaps I didn't take the right ones or the right amount. Guidance from the doctor was poor.

Marijuana Working / Worked

Freaking awesome. You have to eat it. You have to do it on a regular basis and you have to get enough in your system for it to have an effect. Takes about a week or so to really do something cant ever stop or UC will come back.Im on no other medicines. Seriously.
