The other day Wen gave me some great advice... .think of something I will wish I had time to do later, and do it now! So, ladies, I am refinishing my kitchen table! Yup! I sanded it in the Spring, but has been too hot to leave all the windows open all summer (I didn't know how stinky the finish would be)... but the hubby is at work, the kids are at school, the dog is lazing somewhere... so that is my project for the day! I have finished touching up my sanding, wiped it all down, and now the first coat of is on! Tomorrow I can rough it up and put on another coat or two. My husband gave me "the look" when he saw I had stripped the table last spring.... lol! It was the same look I got when I started dismanteling the drop ceiling..... ahem.... so, I told him "Look, this table is unpresentable anyway so if I screw it up what's the harm!? LOL! He couldn't argue with that! So, I can't wait to see it all finished and shiny... and then I'll probably STILL keep it covered just to protect my work! LOL! Oh Well... thanks Wen....

You will love it when you get it done. I've refinished dozens of items of furniture over the years, and stripped a lot of the woodwork in this old house. It is so rewarding when the project is complete. good luck!

Oh how scary it is that we are so alike ....I am just now stipping the paint off an old cedar chest. BTW Hun you don't have one single lazy bone in that body of yours. BTW again ....I miss seeing Your pretty face. I showed you my ugly mugg.LOL!!! I do understand why but I miss it.
