OH CRAP Mood
Tuesday, May 20, 2008

OH CRAP!  Two chickens got eaten by something last night.  We finally go the chickens outside in the geese pen and they had room to roam and we put a roof on the chicken pen and it has sides but we didn't lock the chickens in at night as nothing was bothering the geese we thought it was safe, oh crap again!

Nothing like waking up and looking to say hi to the fellows and BAM!  Feathers in the yard and my eyes moved and BAM!  A white blob!  OH no!  I hurried and got on my shoes, like hurring would help?!  There it was a nice fat rooster, or what was left of him and I counted the others and another one is missing!  NOthing but feathers left on the ground from that one, argh.

Not like they are pets but some do come to me and they are so trusting and then this!  The geese where hidding in their covered area and they came running to me, at first I thought the geese had a hand in the deed but that quickly passed as I looked for the other chicken and looked at the dead one.  Poor birds must have been scared out of their wits, the side of the chicken pen was torn through and they all hundled together in the corner.

What a poor sad ending for them, at least when we do the deed it will not cause them so much truma (sp) Terrible spelling and typing today, sorry.

Also, now the puddle in the pen decided to dry up, argh.  Hubby and I are "talking" sorta about how best to give them a pond, I thought it was all settled and now, I guess not!  ARgh! again.  I don't want to argue about stuff but now he also says he wants to just lock up the chickens in their pen and not let them out, what the..

What good is it for them to be outside then?!  I didn't tell him that over the phone as I don't want to argue about stuff, seems like everything is argue today?!  Not sure why either?!  Now eldest has jury duty and left a phone message for us and of course he has our car and so now hubbies bike decided to need a tune up and he wants to go on a long bike ride this weekend and camping and all I can think of is the pond the geese need and the chickens need to have an outing and locked up "only" at night.  Everything is hitting at once and I know none of this is really important in the whole picture but CRAP!

Now we can't get this and can't do that, is all I hear from hubby today.  When I thought most of this was settled before!  Bummer.  So now we have a dead line and kid has the car so not sure how hubby will get home if he leaves his bike at the shop he will have to walk the 10 miles or so.  Also, now with an animal after the birds I want to wait and see what it is and take care of it before we leave on the weekend.  OH I know that will not go over good!  Haven't even brought that up.

Should just get a freezer and do the deed and save us the trouble of fighting over stupid chickens.  Even if they aren't fully heavy, and we have feed for them left.  I can't see leaving them locked up outside, what sorta life is that?

Also, can we leave the geese alone while we are gone?  What sort of animal got them, a fox? Raven? Owl? neighborhood dog? Something took a whole chicken away and head of another.  Argh, I'm tired and just finally having my breakfast at almost noon.  Been running and running today.  I also have to do the fish tanks and the bird cage in the house and I need to vaccum too!

I need help!  Who works cheap, other then me? sheesh. toodles
